A friend of mine has been there last year and he loved the experience. Try to find Base Backpackers hostel on Ave Patrice Lumumba. Prices range from $5 to $13. Anyway, it's almost in the centre of the city, it has bright & clean rooms and a useful kitchen is included too. You can find out there lots of details about the town's attractions (very helpful staff).
